The Farewell (Week 0)

Elder William Everett left this morning (2/25/15) from LAX to go to the MTC in Provo, UT.  The whole family (minus Jessica who is still on a mission in France Lyon) came to the airport to drop him off.

He was set apart last night as a full-time missionary.  We will be posting his letters and pictures here on this blog for the next two years.

Elder Everett's farewell talk at church was on 2/15/15, coincidentally the same day as Taylor Woolley's homecoming.  Many members of the family came into town to see him off, including: Rob Roe, Jake Marshall, Robin Marshall, Caden Marshall, Dillon Marshall, and Emily Stucki.

The farewell extravaganza included a trip to Knott's Berry Farm, Griffith Observatory, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a performance of Wicked and breakfast at Paradise Cove in Malibu. William appeared in person for at least one of the above events held in his honor...:-)

Missionary of the Day at Los Hermanos
William was picked up at the SLC airport by his grandparents and went to lunch at Los Hermanos in Provo with Nan Stucki, Jim Roe, Emily Stucki and Brennan Marshall.  William was named "Missionary of the Day" by the restaurant. :-)

"Meet our friend Elder William Everett! Elder Everett was one of 4 missionaries that came in today with their families to enjoy one last Los Hermanos meal before entering the MTC. He will be serving for the next two years in the Poland, Worsaw mission. We love our missionaries!! Good luck Elder Everett!!"
